Solid picks, Steve. These companies are great ballast for any DGI portfolio. Starbucks is getting into the buy zone. Like Charlie Munger says, “Buy great companies at good prices then do nothing!”
Thanks Jim, I completely agree. These 3 stocks alone would be a great, “starter package” for anyone just beginning to invest with a moderate growth goal in mind. I see Starbucks as a rare opportunity to capitalize on the labor unionization and China ‘scandals’. Starbucks is a company that I want to own $25,215 worth long term. At the current dividend yield of 2.32% I’d be spinning off $54 of monthly income. Just enough to pay the monthly electric bill at the cabin on the Kenai 😉
